Michael was always the first, though. He was what I grew up with. If I think about it he was my first celebrity crush. I remember having a sequined glove (a shabby one, yes, but still) as a kid and I loved that thing. I remember in high school I drew his eyes from the Dangerous album on my backpack. I also remember someone telling me he died while in high school and honestly feeling my heart drop. That same thing happened today. First I got a text from Akim saying he died. I texted him back, "Bullshit" but right as I did Ashley texted me with the same thing. I honestly believed they were playing a prank on me until I was calling Akim and as I was the other people I were with were suddenly talking about it.

It's unreal. Honestly, he was immortal to me. Who cares what happened. There's still no proof, only speculation. This man was a damn genius. A legend. I still remember watching the MTV VMA's one year ONLY because I heard Michael Jackson was going to preform with N*sync (which he did, and I was bopping around to it, a huge grin on my face). The first thing I ever bought off of eBay was a Michael Jackson shirt, one that I still own to this day. I remember when I met Ashley in Hollywood, out of all the stars I wanted to see Michael's the most.

It's just....I dunno. I know a lot of people are in shock, too, and honestly that makes me feel good; to know people still cared. I mean, for God's sake he was only 50. His oldest kid I think is 13. How is that kid going to feel?

I dunno.

It still hasn't sunk in. It's going to take a while.


I almost feel like I did when Michael Turner died. Both were big influences on my life.



HELL. To make this DeviantArt related, back in high school I wrote a fan fiction that mixed Ed, Edd n Eddy to Michael Jackson, sort of the like the Powerpuff Girls/Beatles mix episode, except with a twist. I even illustrated into a comic the first two chapters. I never finished it, but if anyone is interested I will upload the pages. If you're interested let me know.
